Last week marked the end of a significant chapter for more than 1,000 Livermore teens as they celebrated completing their high school education.
Donning their caps and gowns as they crossed the stage at their respective campuses to the sounds of booming cheers and applause, graduates in Livermore’s Class of 2024 from Granada High School, Livermore High School, Del Valle Continuation School and Vineyard Alternative School bid farewell to their teachers, administrators and classmates one last time before embarking on their futures.
The week of celebrations concluded last Friday night with the Granada and Livermore High graduations.
“YOU DID IT! Congratulations on your achievement! We are so proud of you. Best of luck to our over 1000 graduating seniors on all of your future endeavors,” wrote Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District officials in a post on social media following the ceremonies.
Four graduates of the Livermore Adult Education program were also recognized, including Jose Beltran, Tamara Garcia, Cory Kotowski and Tiffany Sumrow.
In addition to the students, this graduation season also marked the road coming to an end for LVJUSD Superintendent Chris Van Schaack whose last day with the district is set for June 30 as he begins his retirement.
Whether heading to college, entering the workforce or setting off on traveling adventures, Livermore Vine congratulates the class of 2024 and wishes them great success in their next chapter.
